What to do on a lazy Sunday afternoon?

Just go make the most wonderful chocolate cake in the world! A Mississippi Mud Cake! I will be celebrating my 20th birthday this Sunday, so I probably won’t be bored. But with this chocolate cake, I won’t be the only one in the celebrating mood.

You are warned! If you are the only one around, this cake can be very dangerous. One bite and you are sold. Finished the whole cake? Then you know you can skip dinner the next two weeks, because this cake contains more than half a kilo of sugar, one whole pack of butter and two chocolate bars. But it is so delicious that all of this doesn’t mind anymore when the first delicious bite is melting on your tongue.
First of all, you need to run some errands. For this Mississippi Mud Cake you will need:
315 grams of flour

625 grams of sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt
250 grams of butter
1,5 cups of milk (around 375 ml)
75 grams of cacoa
2 eggs
1 cup of whipped cream
90 ml of syrup
2 bars of pure chocolate

Your next step is to preheat the oven, at about 180 degrees.
Then you take a cooking pot and add the butter, the milk, the whipped cream and the cacoa.
Heat everything until the butter is melted.
Take a bowl and add the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
Take a spoon and give it a good stir.
Then you have to put everything together including your two eggs.
Take a mixer and keep on mixing until you have created a smooth mixture.
Pour everything in a big platter and put it in the oven for about 20 to 25 minutes.
Meanwhile you can make the topping. Melt the chocolate and add the syrup.
Keep stirring until your cake is ready and you can put the melted chocolate on top.

And then there is only one thing left to do, just rejoice. And try to say no to that attracting, wonderful, but forbidden, third peace. Good luck with that!
